Forestry Investment – Boise Label & Release, a leading US supplier of release liner and label facestock papers to the global pressure sensitive industry, has announced the addition of recycled content products and chain of custody certification to the company’s market leading product portfolio.
The new product offerings include chain of custody certifications by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and the Programme for the Endorsement Forestry Certification (PEFC).
Boise facilities that manufacture pressure sensitive papers are Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Procurement Certified and ISO 14001 compliant. Customers will also benefit from SFI and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain of custody certification as a result of Boise’s extensive product portfolio.
This new product announcement is part of Boise’s strategy to grow speciality and premium papers driven by packaging related demand, as well as to build on the company’s tradition of environmental stewardship.
Chain of custody certification is achieved by tracking and documenting raw materials from the forest to the consumer. This includes all the stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing, and distribution.
Daniel Brown, director of marketing and strategic planning for Boise Inc.’s Label & Release business, said: “We are pleased to offer the sustainability attributes most desired in the pressure sensitive industry.”
